Morph: What neighborhood do you live in?
Deb: I live in Hopkins - just west of Minneapolis - with my husband, two kids and one miniature poodle. Come and check out our awesome downtown, with great shopping and food destinations!
Morph: Favorite restaurants, clubs, hang-outs, favorite things about the cities?
Deb: Some favorite places to eat include the Birchwood, Heidi's, Bar La Grassa. Best of India is a family favorite, too, as are all of the local co-op delis. The lakes are wonderful places to visit as are the local museums. My son's new favorite is The Works in Edina. The Minneapolis Institute of Arts' collection is a personal favorite and the Walker Art Center is the first place I worked after moving to Minneapolis.
Morph: What do you do for fun?
Deb: I love to relax with my family, read, garden and cook. I am also obsessed with houses and interior design.
Morph: What do you do in your everyday life, and your home to be 'green'?
Deb: We are avid recyclers and gardeners. We also work to reduce our energy usage by lowering the thermostat and using energy efficient light bulbs, etc. We are long-time food co-op members and grow our own vegetables in the warm months. I try to grow mostly native, flowers to encourage the native bee population and this year we are putting up a few bee houses in the garden.
Morph: 2 truths and a lie?
Deb: I have met one of the Rolling Stones, kissed the Blarney Stone, and seen the Mona Lisa four times.
Morph: If money was no object, what projects would you do to your home?
Deb: My dream project has to include a tricked-out gourmet kitchen that includes a warming drawer and wide-planked recycled wood floors.
Morph: Why do you love working at Metamorphosis? Deb: I am thrilled to be working at Metamorphosis because it is a company committed to bringing a high level of expertise in selling, buying and remodeling clients' homes within the context of environmental responsibility. Everyone here is so passionate about making a positive difference in the world.
